  Location was very convenient -- generally less than 20 min walk to all the sites we wanted to see. Linda even provided us with a bottle of chianti and restaurant recommendations. Several restaurants -- and a convenient Carrefour Express -- within a few minutes walk. We also really liked the decor in the apartment. Bonus: Linda was fantastic. We were late in arriving by train from Paris, and a protest broke out at the Firenze Santa Maria Novella train station just after we arrived. Just before we got a taxi to meet her at the apartment, station officials told us to go away as the station wasn't safe. Linda drove to the area to pick us up -- above and beyond the call of duty!

  One steep flight of stairs to the apartment -- probably unavoidable in Florence, but a little hard on my middle-aged knees.

  Quiet updated appartement in a great location of Florence

  Great location, quiet street, 1st floor

  Adding a curtain between bedroom and living area would be great improvement

  Nice place for weekdays

  The apartment is a nice loft overlooking a park. Comfy bed, shower, and great location for a long weekend.

  Unfortunately, there is a bar called Queer on the street that stays open until 2:00 am - at least on Fridays and Saturdays. People gather outside, and the noise in the apartment can be quite loud.I did not had good rest and had to use earplugs. My rating is based on this fact, as well as on the fact that I specifically asked the host whether there was any noise on the street, and he responded that occasionally someone might walk by talking. I understand that the host may not have been aware of this situation, but having this information would have helped me choose a different place.
