    Very Average Venue!!

    The property was conveniently located close to shops and beaches. The room layout suited us as we had teenagers and they could occupy the downstairs area whilst the adults could occupy the upstairs.

    There are a number of issues on this house and the hosts are either unaware or ignorant....seems like the hosts rely on a cleaning lady and gardener to check and prepare that the house is ready. Issues we encountered 1.There was no gas to braai with on the 1st evening.. we had to try and call the host a number of times to get him to sort it out. There was 1 empty cylinder which the gas company came to replace the following day and could not as it was not the correct cylinder.. we had to re contact the host to arrange for him to bring a cylinder down to the house.. 2. The alarm system does not work...so you feel a bit uneasy when leaving the house... 3. The gate was faulty on arrival and sorted out the following day.... Again no communication and we had to contact the hosts to get info and updates. 4. none of the hair dryers work in the house. 5. The downstairs toilet leaks and keeps running water. 6.The gas braai is faulty and a fire hazard........eventually after receiving the gas we resorted to a charcoal braai. overall i think little or no effort is placed on maintenance and preparation of guest arrival. When you book a whole house and for 20k you expect a little higher standard!! 7. We asked the cleaning lady to come in 1 extra day... she arrived to work after 9am and was in a rush to leave to her next job. She did not even unpack our dishwasher or empty the bin in the kitchen.
