Monzi Safari lodge is een fijne uitvalsbasis voor als je st.lucia en Imfolozi game park wil bezoeken. Het ligt +/- 20min van st Lucia en 50min van het game park. Monzi Safari lodge ligt op een beveiligd estate waar we zelfs een rondje hebben hardgelopen. De accommodatie zelf was prachtig. Omdat het rustig was kregen wij een gratis upgrade. Prachtige lodge met 2 slaapkamers en grote keuken met kookeiland en een eigen privé zwembad. Je zit hoog waardoor je mooi kan uitkijken over het park. Ik weet niet of het altijd zo mooi rustig is, maar er was nu in ieder geval veel rust en privacy. Ook is er een spa en kan je massage boeken. Wij hebben een massage geboekt van 60min. Die was heerlijk en heel professioneel uitgevoerd. Ze komen hiervoor bij je “thuis”. De service is subliem. Onwijze gastvrijheid door Nosipho en haar collega’s. We konden via whatsapp contact leggen en vragen stellen. Als er veel vragen waren kwam ze even langs voor uitleg. Perfect! Het huisje was schoon en wordt iedere dag netjes bijgehouden. Wel zie je hier en daar wat kleine puntjes van achterstallig onderhoud. Zoals wat schimmel in de douche (voegen) en deur van de badkamer die klemt. Maar dit mag je er niet van weerhouden om hier een verblijf te boeken! Hou je niet van die massa toerisme zoals in St Lucia. Dan is dit echt een perfecte locatie voor je verblijf in deze regio. En het game park is ABSOLUUT de moeite waard. Wij vonden het zelfs mooier dan Kruger (en veel rustiger!)

Beautiful chalet surrounded by lychees trees and grazing impalas.Staff were amazing.We got hopelessly lost and they got in a car and came to find us and show us the way.Very kind.
Getting lost on the dirt road was a bit stressful but all part of the adventure.😅
