    Located in the beautiful quiet village of Grasmere- the place itself was very peaceful, only sounds you could hear were birds and rain outside. Walking distance to local cafes and restaurants, aswell as a few shops and of course, The Grasmere Gingerbread Shop. Staff were very friendly, food was lovely. We liked how everything in the building from furniture to decor was chosen not only to support their environmentally friendly values, but they used local suppliers/businesses.

    Sound can travel (could hear neighbours in the next room). Even though the bed was comfortable, it was very high- had to literally climb up to get into it.

    The hotel is ideally placed right in the centre of Grasmere. The staff are lovely, attentive and genuinely happy to help We've been twice now and in different rooms and it was really clean with all you need and a really relaxed atmosphere and both were nice and spacious. We have stayed in quite a few hotels in Grasmere and it is now our favourite especially when you know everything is organic from the food to the soap's and loo roll. We would love to go back soon.

    Very pleasant. It made up for the rainy weather.

    Excellent breakfast. Spacious, comfortable rooms. Lovely, helpful staff

    To provide evening meals as well! The breakfasts at Moss Grove were by far the best food we had in Grasmere.
