    Pessima esperienza ad un prezzo esagerato

    Il Cottage è tra il mare di SandSend e il bosco di Mulgrave. È un posto tranquillo e suggestivo.

    Nonostante il Cottage abbia delle grandi potenzialità è lasciato all'Incuria più totale. Ho trovato la stanza sporca, la pulizia giornaliera non so come venisse eseguita, ma nella mia stanza c'erano ragni, ragnatele, polvere, finestre sporche, asciugamani che puzzano di muffa, lenzuola vecchie. Il pavimento era stato attaccato sopra le assi di legno, in un secondo momento e si sollevava in diversi punti, scricchiolando rumorosamente. Ho scelto la camera con terrazzo, pagandola di più, ma mi dava l'idea di un' uscita secondaria di sicurezza, non di un terrazzo. Era in comune con un'altra stanza, aveva un divano da esterni e un tavolino, ma anche lì era tutto in uno stato di abbandono, sporco e lasciato all'Incuria. La colazione, poi, aveva solo 3 piatti della cucina inglese a scelta. Dal form che si compilava il giorno prima e si lasciava all'ingresso del Cottage c'era scritto espressamente che si poteva scegliere una sola bevanda calda a persona. Se prendevi il caffè (americano) non potevi prendere il tè! Il latte, il burro le marmellate venivano serviti sfusi, in vasetti o bricchetti. Per chi non mangiasse una colazione all'inglese, nessuna alternativa se non pane tostato e marmellata. Nessun dolce, nessun biscotto, nessuna torta, nessuna brioche, nessun cappuccino. Il tutto condito da un prezzo per nulla esiguo: 678€ per 3 notti. Avessi speso poco, avrei chiuso un occhio, ma in questo caso era doveroso raccontare la mia esperienza, soprattutto per chi, come me, potrebbe farsi influenzare dalle troppe recensioni positive.

    Perfect for a relaxing break away.

    Beautiful and peaceful location and yet not far from the beach and Sandsend. Gorgeous old building but well equipped with everything you need and really nicely decorated. Hosts were welcoming and kind and the breakfast was delicious.

    There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the property.
