  I wish I could put something here. I guess it was cool that we were able to set our bags in the lobby while we waited hours to check in to a nearly empty hotel.

  We had to leave in the middle of the night when we discovered an abundance of cockroaches after returning back from sightseeing. After discovering them, I asked for a new room. They showed us other rooms which also had cockroaches visible with minimal looking, such as in the entrance way. Despite being unable to sleep there they wanted to charge us for the night, then later I saw the whole length of our booking charged. I’m still sorting this out days later. That night, the staff was rude to us as if we were the one in the wrong for disliking cockroaches in our bed and that we didn’t want a new room when we couldn’t find a bug free one after seeing at least 5 rooms! We could have woke up with them on our body! I’m glad we discovered it after returning from sightseeing sapa. It is best to avoid this hotel. We stayed in other Muong Thanh in other cities and loved it but this one is not worth it. There was also had tons of mold in the bathroom. They were so under booked that nearly every room was open on our floor (physically they had each door open too) when they finally let us check in at 2 pm. They also said they couldn’t do a traditional hotel breakfast because they aren’t busy enough so I know our room was ready or at least a similar room was.. We arrived off a sleeper bus early in the morning and so it was a long, sleepy wait. We would have paid too but they didn’t want to let us check in til check in time. At that time, the man at the counter was rude to me when I also handed the passport when he was asking for the booking information. I took my passport back assuming he didn’t need it because of his behavior and words then he rudely asked for it moments after. Not sure what the problem was. I knew he would need it based on how it’s been travelling through Vietnam so I gave it to him with the other information so it would be an easier process.. guess he just wanted it his way. Overall rude staff, and a health hazard.

  The shower door needs to extend fully so that it is closed off from the toilet completely.
