First time visiting Newport. Murray House made it so comfortably ideal.
Perfect location. Loved relaxing by the pool. Over the moon to be able to bring my pup. Walking distance to beach. Driving distance to shops and restaurants. Girls weekend with my daughter. It was lovely. Beautiful memories.
Lamps need light bulbs. Got up early to read. Only light was over bed. Wasn’t important enough to bother Owner.

Convenient, pretty but cramped.
Good location in a neighborhood close to the main cultural boulevard in Newport. Appreciated the parking and the late arrival arrangements which worked well.
Expensive, but that we knew. Tiny cooking facilities. Icebox needed to be defrosted. The walk up two flights of stairs was a bit of a pain.

Smelly, Damp and Dim
The pool looked clean.
Staying there was like being in someone's basement (it was that dim, damp and smelly) and had trinkets and old furnishings throughout. The bed was uncomfortable and the smell was so unpleasant despite the windows being opened and a small air cleaner going non-stop. When we went out for dinner we didn't want to go back. We sat outside for a while the next morning and the weather was great. It was definitely better sitting outside and it wasn't damp and dingy. There was a little basket left for us with some assorted chips and 2 donuts individually wrapped in plastic when we arrived. We thought we were getting a breakfast and later guessed that was it. Breakfast for 3 days. The great reviews that I read before I selected this place do not reflect this place at all. I didn't want others to be misled as well.

Charming, coz, convenient stay right next to Marble House and other mansions!
The place was cozy, charming, and easy to check in/out of throughout our visit. We loved having free parking in an area that is difficult to find parking, right next to all of the mansions. We'd love to go back again!
Nothing major fell short of our expectations! We had a lovely stay here. The accommodation is a bit dated, but we were into it and this was well advertised as the case.
