    We had a wonderful stay at Mwi Village House. Mwi is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the story behind the property makes it even more special. He holds a PhD in medical science, studied in both the UK and Japan, and is now retired in Tanzania. He built the property himself, with around ten cottages, and personally designed and decorated the rooms. Even the solid wood tables were designed and made by him. The whole place has a distinctive style and a lovely personal touch. We really enjoyed the design and atmosphere. The beef stew was delicious and definitely worth trying! The lakeshore is just over a ten-minute walk away, so if you have time, you can also enjoy a walk by Lake Manyara. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable stay with a warm host and plenty of character.
