Great Quirky Place - a little tired
Great Place and location, quirky and comfortable, good value for a stay in the area, nice that they provide tea, coffe etc
The place is looking a little tired and cold be cleaner - I know its an old cottage but general maintenance needs to be kept if the place is to attract our booking again

The cottage was comfortable, welcoming, a real home from home feeling to it. The age of the cottage led to interesting areas. Lovely cottage and we would/will look to stay again.
This is outside of the cottages owners control, but there is early traffic noise through the village early morning.

Lovely cottage perfect for exploring the area
We had a lovely time at Myrtle Cottage. The cottage was very comfortable. The shower was hot, and very nice. The toiletries were a nice touch. The toilet was separate to the shower room. There is a dining area and a well equipped kitchen. You can park down the adjoining road. We always had a space. The cottage is very old. It's a listed building. As such it has low ceilings and exposed beams. To get to the bedrooms upstairs you need to use a very tight, steep spiral staircase. There is a banister but it is not for the infirm, young children or those not good with stairs. This was fine for us though. The main bedroom has a double bed then the next twin room is separated by a curtain that you can pop down. We have had unprecedented hot weather and the cottage, along with the rest of the country, was very warm. Fans are in both bedrooms which was appreciated. We had the windows open at night and the large agricultural vehicles do go past in the early hours but when the windows are shut you do not notice the noise as much. The cottage is also perfect for visiting nearby areas like Norwich, Eye, Diss and even over to Great Yarmouth and up to Cromer.
The cottage was fine for us.
