    Very run down but lovely staff

    The staff were very sweet

    Really badly maintained, lots of painting and general maintenance going on. Strong smell of paint in first room - but they happily moved us. Paint smells in various common areas and the general feeling of being run down. Could be really lovely but needs some tlc

    Very friendly and great value

    Staff are excellent and very helpful. Genuinely looking for ways to help and make our stay more comfortable. Very grand - well kept gardens and facilities. A little rough around the edges but everything is clean and well maintained. It feels comforting and there’s a nice atmosphere.

    Food is good - high quality if a little limited in range. Not a complaint really given you’re there to go on safaris and they arrange everything to coincide with the starts and ends
