If you are looking for a sterile, quiet luxury resort, look elsewhere. But if you want to step right into the beating heart of Delhi’s energy, staying in Paharganj is an absolute trip. The hotel itself was surprisingly clean and tucked away just enough to give my ears a break from the constant honking outside, though you can still hear the city hum through the walls. The room was basic but comfortable, the AC worked like a charm, and the staff had that genuine, helpful hospitality that you only find in family-run spots—they even helped me navigate the maze of the local main bazaar and sorted out a reliable airport cab. Yes, the alleys are narrow, the street vendors are persistent, and the sensory overload hits you the second you step out of the lobby. However, being just a short walk from the New Delhi Railway Station and having cheap, incredible street food right at my doorstep made it worth every bit of the chaos. It’s gritty, it’s alive, and for the price, you can't beat the convenience.

I chose this place based on its Booking.com rating and the photos, but unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The area was extremely dirty and crowded, and the constant honking outside continued until the morning, making it impossible to sleep. The streets around the property were full of garbage and very unclean. The room also had a strong smell of cigarettes and an unpleasant odor. Even the bedding smelled bad. I definitely do not recommend this place.
