Waste of time, diesel, lack of communication and possibly discriminitive Cheers 🥂
Nothing because I wasn’t accepted
I didn’t have a Credit card. I entered my debit card, and hotel was confirmed, booked 2 rooms for me and my partner, and for my mother that has DEMENTIA and my father. It was booked specifically for my mother which I also explained but no sympathy or work around here. We travelled to stay here. Most likely DISCRIMINATION from Newpark Hotel, I having worked in the Hospitality industry know when things are flagged, short notice (a week) booked 2 rooms under same surname and had 620€ to pay in cash for 2 rooms for 1 night stay, because I didn’t have a credit card they wouldn’t accept, I offered to let them hold onto a further 300€ and do a room inspection the next day and nope. Hotel was packed with a wedding so don’t know if they thought I was an “undesirable” a traveller person for those not familiar with hotel lingo or if they over booked, manager had 0 interest in resolving the issue as I watched him hand over a sheet to the receptionist with a list of other hotels in Kilkenny to go to, when I asked to speak to him he began walking away from me before I was even finished speaking, highly unprofessional. I highly doubt every single person that has ever stayed in the hotel required a credit card, this was about close to a month ago. If their was an issue with the debit card I’d of assumed they would have contacted me in advance the other hotel I gave my business too that took in 1000€ from me for nights stay I asked some of their staff if they ever heard of it and said that’s ridiculous, ruined my evening I had dinner breakfast and the leisure club booked in advance before attempted to check in, joke of a place AVOID GIVE YOUR MONEY TO A WORTHY HOTEL 🙂🙂🙂
