Highly recommended. Hospitality and Food (omnivore and veggie) 10/10
The house is stunningly beautiful. Manaka and the rest of the team were super nice and we felt very welcome. The tour through the backyard and garden was fun and the onsen (included) was an authentic experience as we were the only tourists and it was packed with japanese. Dinner was fantastic. One of us does neither eat fish nor meat and under the condition that dashi and other broths are okay, the chef composed a whole new menu to accommodate all wishes. So my veggie partner had six dishes that were completely different from the original menu and three dishes of the original menu were veggie anyways. The substitutes were not just change fish to Tofu and leave the Rest the same, they were completely different dishes all very well composed and prepared. The „standard“ menu featured different variations of the local yamame trout and various local vegetables and herbs. everything very well done. Dinner 10/10! Thank you Mr. Yukiyoshi Owa! Breakfast was also delicious and very diverse!
The house is directly next to the mountain rode which is frequented by motorcyclists. During the day it is noisier than expected and if you have light sleep, earplugs for the Late morning hours might help. We stayed in the old storage house and unfortunately the bedroom had no garden view/window (air was fine). For one night perfectly fine as we hardly spend any time in the room. If you stay longer i would recommend the other rooms!

I can't write enough good things about this hotel.
The most thoughtful and wonderful experience ever. The people who work here are deeply caring and simply amazing. Food, sake, service, views, e-bikes, architecture, comfort, quiet luxury and, above all, total relaxation. Kosuge village nearby is gently incredible. We couldn't have chosen a better place to celebrate Sue's 50th
