Wonderful break at Devils Bridge and Kirby Lonsdale

The location was ideal for what we planned to do for over the few days we were staying in Kirby Lonsdale walking out of Fairbank onto the street next to the church. Shops and pubs on the doorstep. A wonderful walk to Ruskins view and down along the river to Devils Bridge. We could safely park the car immediately in front of the property so didn’t to worry about being parked down a back street. A nice welcome pack was provided wine, milk, biscuits tea and coffee…..thank you

Would of been nice to have an hand rail to help my wife get into the bath(shower over the bath) although we did manage

We absolutely loved the cottage & Kirby Lonsdale. Great base for Ingleton Falls as only 15 mins drive. Definitely be

Right in centre of village. Owner left milk, wine, biscuits, tea & coffee. Very clean, beautiful cottage.

No washing up liquid, toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash) luckily we brought our own (free toiletries in description so wavy to warn future renters) & also the attic bedroom smoke alarm kept us awake beeping so batteries obviously need replacing. Be careful in attic as one bed under eaves. Luckily my friend & I are only small but anyone tall would definitely bang their head.

We had a lovely stay in KL and the cottage provided us with a great base for days out. It felt very spacious and cosy an

The location is excellent and a spacious property. Well equipped with cooking implements and lovely welcoming refreshments. Lovely quality bedding and towels and the beds felt really comfortable.

The property could have been a bit cleaner- such as quite dusty in the corner areas. The cleaner was still at the property at 3pm when we arrived and she said check in was 4pm - I know I asked for 3-4pm so was a bit confused but not such a big problem and we waited in the car until she had finished. The oven and hob were hard to use and I did google the instructions but the temperatures were hard to control and cooking was not so successful. There was a broken side table in the lounge by the armchair which was not practical to put anything on. I did warn my elderly mother not to put a glass on it as it was very wonky and when I looked the leg was broken and it did collapse and was a hazard particularly as we had a young child with us. CO2 alarm started to sound in the night with low battery which was just unfortunate timing and the smoke alarm in the Attic room was also bleeping.
