  Great location but that's about it

  The property is in a fantastic location, just a short walk from the beach with stunning views and it does have a homely cottage feel to it which was the experience we were after. The hosts provided an excellent pack that had plenty of information about the property and the local area which was very useful, particularly as we were only there for a short stay so it allowed us to really focus on the bits we wanted to do. The bedroom was fabulous and incredibly comfortable. For a cottage you might expect it to be cold but the temperature was pleasant day and night.

  Despite the location, which is a huge factor, there were a few things that weren't what we would have expected. Under the facilities listed it states there is a fridge, this is not the case, it is a very small freezer. the crockery was dirty, my partner and I had to clean before usage. There is carpet down throughout most of the property which is particularly uncomfortable. Parking is a serious problem, there is very limited parking throughout Runswick Bay, particularly on a hot day in the summer. The property has an electric shower, which is probably more of a taste thing but worth mentioning. The overall cleanliness of the property could be slightly improved.

  The location was great - next to the pub and a stone's throw from the beach

  Whilst there is a fridge in the property, it's tiny and not suitable to keep much in there other than a bottle of milk or two - if you're planning on self catering, this is not suitable uness you plan on eating ready meals. Whilst the cottage has three beds, two singes are up some steep stairs accessed via the main bedroom. The cottage is not large enough to accommodate more than 2 adults unless you're planning on only sleeping there.

  Cute little cottage, comfy beds if a bit short and comfy sofa great location for the beach. Well thought out use of space with the folding tables. Kids loved the attic room.

  Only 3 bowls, assuming one has been broken, please get an extra one sorted. we had to wait and share at breakfast. No, hot water downstairs not a massive issue we boiled the kettle. Fridge too small, I know its only a small space but a proper sized icebox would be a real bonus.
