    The location of the property was exactly why we booked it; we were at the beach every day during our stay. The outdoor clothes-line was also advantageous as it got the sun for most of the day. The key collection, return, and instructions for check-in and check-out were clear, and the host was very responsive.

    There was a $500 security deposit to pay which the host communicated ~one to two weeks prior to arrival. This was not included in the property details, pre-arrival forms requested by the host, nor checklists. It was, however. contained in the house rules but specified on arrival rather than in advance. Clearer communication on this matter would have made me feel more secure in providing my credit card details for a "hold", which I did mention to the host. In terms of the property itself - it is much more dated vs the photos (e.g., no dishwasher), the toilet is further away from both bedrooms vs the photos suggest, the property was dusty in certain areas, and we encountered cockroaches on a few evenings but there was no insect spray. Overall, the value for money could've been better.

    Great location but desperately needs maintenance and upkeep.

    Short walk to the beach, cafes and supermarket. Kitchen was well stocked which made it useful for meals prep. Budget friendly. Would be an awesome beach house if it were properly maintained!

    Loose tiles on floors, no air-conditioning made it very uncomfortable during the summer heat. Ants kept coming into the kitchen through gaps in the tiles. Back screen door has no latch so we couldn't let fresh air into the place during the evenings. No rangehood above the stove despite having a gas cook-top, felt that this was unsafe. TV remote working intermittently. Back staircase wobbly and unsafe. Shower head ancient with irregular spray.

    A comfortable home away from home.

    It was clean, comfortable, nicely equipped kitchen, washing machine came with laundry soap, and a home away home feel. A few minutes walk from the beach.
