  The house was spacious and lovely and set in a very peaceful village, but was still convenient to reach the many museums, towns and villages nearby. It's also convenient for Hadrian's Wall as well as walks through the countryside. The host was very friendly and responsive, and was happy to be flexible for us.

  There were a couple of places it could have been cleaned better.

  Lovely and relaxing stay, with attentive and kind hosts.

  We loved the property. It was beautiful, tasetfully decorated, clean and comfortable and had everything our group of friends needed for a relaxing holiday. On top of that, Jaynor was an amazing host, very communicative and ready to help whenever we needed everything. The house was stocked with the essentials and we never ran out of dish soap or toilet paper. Lots of shops and fun things to do in the area. This is a superb place to really relax and rest after a busy year.

  Wonderful, spacious and well-equipped farm house with beautiful garden.

  A truly fantastic farm house, very spacious and full of character. The kitchen is well equipped and stocked, there are musical instruments (piano, guitar, ukulele), drawers full of games, shelves full of books and lots of places to sit including a large dining table. The four bedrooms are nicely organised, two with en-suites and with one additional main bathroom serving the others. The stairs were not too steep, have railings on both sides and were manageable by the senior members of our party. The garden is very well kept with a large outdoor dining table, and fully fenced in, which was useful for us as we have a dog, who loved playing on the lawn. While the location is out of the way, the village is charming (and very friendly) and the remoteness is part of the attraction of the property. There are footpaths out of the village, and only a 10-minute drive to local shops. The owner Jaynor was communicative and helpful. My favourite of all the houses/apartments I've ever reserved through Booking.

  There was nothing bad. It was a wonderful place!

  With an age range of 68 years, we all (including the dog) loved every minute of our stay.

  Old world charm. Space. Location. Log burning stove. Huge utility/boot room for muddy/sandy boots etc. Great supply and variety of crockery, pans etc. Fantastic hosts.

  Small appliances such as toaster and kettle could do with replacing /upgrading.
