  The apartment was beautifully presented, with a lovely modern feel and some great features. The king bed was exceptionally comfortable, and we both slept really well. The bathroom was another highlight, particularly the spacious walk-in shower and lovely bath. The kitchen was well laid out, with plenty of bench space, a microwave, fridge and everything needed for a short stay. The accommodation was generally clean, tidy and comfortable. The location is excellent for exploring the region. It's within easy walking distance of Woodend's shops, cafés and restaurants, approximately 10 minutes from Hanging Rock, which is fantastic for a picnic, lunch at the café or a walk to the summit. Daylesford is also only around 40 minutes away, making it an easy trip to enjoy the mineral baths and spas. It's a great central base for a weekend exploring the Macedon Ranges and surrounding areas. Overall, a lovely place to stay with plenty of potential to be exceptional with a little more attention to detail.

  While we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, there are a few areas where some relatively simple improvements could really elevate the accommodation from lovely to exceptional. Cleanliness: The apartment was generally clean and tidy, although the floors could have benefited from a more thorough vacuum, as there were a few areas where debris had been missed. Floor mats and safety: Both the bedroom and kitchen mats need some attention. The mat at the foot of the bed constantly moved and curled up, requiring us to repeatedly straighten it to prevent tripping. The kitchen mat was particularly slippery on the lino flooring and would slide when stepped on. Some non-slip underlay or backing would be a simple and worthwhile improvement to prevent potential slips and trips. Kitchen facilities: The kitchen itself was lovely, with great bench space and everything generally well presented. However, the cutlery was a mixture of different styles, including chunky-handled pieces and cheaper silverware. Having a complete, matching set with a few additional pieces would give the kitchen a more polished and consistent feel. There was also no dishcloth provided, and the sponge on the dishwashing wand was well past its use-by date! It really needed replacing, so we ended up using a tea towel to wash the dishes. These are only small details, but they do make a difference to the overall guest experience. Bedding: The king bed was exceptionally comfortable, probably one of the highlights of our stay! However, a super king doona would be a fantastic addition. The existing doona was a little small for the king bed, which meant a bit of a battle for the covers during the night. Bathroom maintenance: The bathroom was another highlight, particularly the beautiful bath and spacious walk-in shower. There were just a few minor maintenance items that could do with attention. Addressing these would help bring the overall presentation up to the standard of the lovely facilities.

  It was a very pleasant three day stay and the location was perfect

  No breakfast supplied. We had our own food. The location was perfect

  The cooking appliances were not good. Hot plates not very effective, oven dirty. Some of the dishes had not been cleaned properly.
