Disappointing stay
The house is set on a beautiful and very quiet acreage approx. 20 minutes drive from Hunter Valley Gardens. The kitchen was very modern, well-equipped with great appliances. The house can easily accommodate 10-13 people.
The reason I was attracted to this house was because of the covered heated pool, unfortunately the pool was not heated. Needless to say the grandchildren were bitterly disappointed! Another highly desirable feature was air-conditioning however, it did not work - the ceiling outlets did not blow any air out at all. We did google instructions as there were none in the house and we had turned it on correctly. Netflix was also another attraction, which is available but only via google chrome connection and we had to supply our own connection cord and power plug which luckily we did have. We also googled the instructions to work out how to use it as these were not supplied. I think the house had just been pest-sprayed which I realize needs to be done from time-to-time but there was very overpowering lingering smell and there were still quite a few fruit-fly type bugs in the kitchen.
