    warm, heartfelt hospitality

    All the staff were cheerful and welcoming, and their warm, heartfelt hospitality made our stay truly special. The food was absolutely delicious, making the most of the wonderful local ingredients from Nagano. Not only could we enjoy the hotel’s large communal hot spring bath, which is open 24 hours a day, but we also had a wonderful time visiting the many traditional public hot spring baths just a short walk away. For anyone who loves hot springs, this hotel is an absolute delight!

    Being surrounded by nature, the hotel also attracted a few uninvited guests to our room — stink bugs! We politely escorted them out through the window.

    We couldn’t believe that we were the only patrons in the hotel for 2 out of our 3 nights! Our room was quite big and had
