    The only place to stay in Jala is very comfortable and made my stay extra special.

    The huarache de maíz jaleño was outstanding. It's a very nice setting in the courtyard of the hotel, and everything looked fantastic.

    The church bells are awful. I understood the fireworks, music, and revelry outside because of the Feria but the bells, well thanks for the earplugs.

    Lovely traditional Mexican hotel.

    We enjoyed a delightful dinner at the rooftop restaurant. All the staff were non-English speaking, but were pleasant and efficient. Our room was more like a huge apartment. Nothing much to see in Jala, but still worth a visit for a taste of real Mexico.

    The town was eerily quiet on Monday, with only a Chinese restaurant available for lunch. We didn't use the hotel spa, but would have enjoyed a dipping pool.
