Love how secluded the cottage is from the outside world. So much to explore on the property and plenty of farm animals to be entertained. The fire place kept the cottage amazingly warm and cosy. The beds very comfortable. We liked discovering different plants throughout the property. So many different flora. The dogs were very friendly and got on well with our pommie.

Unfortunately, we stayed during the big wind gusts and thus had to endure the long blackout from approx 3pm. There were still no electricity and water when we checked out. Not the property's fault. They equipped us with the emergency light which was very useful. The big torch we were directed to had a flat battery though and the only candles were the scented ones which didnt provide much lighting. Thankfully the fireplace was operational and plenty of firewood available. Apparently somehow, the water to the cottage needed electricity??? We didnt have running water and had to fill buckets from the outside tank for washing and to flush the toilet. Other than the blackout and the inconveniences it brought, we loved every part of the cottage and property it sits on.

Cleanliness, friendly and welcoming host, good facilities, great environment and overall homely feeling.

Spa is fire heated, limiting ability to use.

Beautiful cottage. The property owner provided some local goods for us to enjoy; eggs, butter, cider and milk. Such a lovely place to stay for a weekend
