  Incredible views, and an excellent base for further exploring.

  Excellent location very close to the main sights of Alghero. View over the town and harbour, especially at sunset into night-time, was worth everything. Very easy to get out of town and explore the local area, beaches, sights, etc. Loads of space in the apartment. Easily hosted the 4 of us (all in separate rooms), and could comfortably host 4 couples - if you're not all in the kitchen at the same time! Our host was superb, being very quick to reply to questions, and offered loads of helpful advice and recommendations. Host was extremely helpful in finding somewhere for us to park.

  Free long term car parking is basically non-existent with 10 minutes walk, but that's to be expected because of the central location. There are plenty of free spaces a walk away though. Decor and fixings (plug sockets etc) are a bit tired looking, but all still perfectly functional. Air con needed to be manually emptied as opposed to being plumbed in. It worked though!

  Beautiful place but need maintenance investment

  We stayed for three nights at the very end of May before going on to Santa Teresa Gallura . The Amazing views , in the morning and evening we would spend time on the terraces seeing the beautiful Alghero old town beneath us and seeing the bay, it was amazing. The apartment was very Spacious. The kitchen was well equipped . It was a Very good location for the centro historico. There’s So many good things about this apartment. However I have to make up below comments to give an honest review.

  Me and my friend loved the apartment, but we have to be honest with this review as maintenance and investment has not taken place in the apartment. We booked the apartment as it was spacious and had amazing views. We paid £660 for three nights. Two out of the three bedrooms were locked on arrival. Why was this so they should have all been unlocked? So we had the choice of which rooms we wanted to sleep. Also, the owner had assumed for some reason that me and a male friend were a couple so on arrival we had to wait around for one of the rooms to be unlocked. In the second bathroom, the water ran out incredibly quickly and the toilet didn’t flush. It is basically missing a water heater for that part of the apartment it just uses one from the kitchen . This will be a massive problem if there was a group of people staying. There were lots of signs that pointed out that the money from the high cost of renting the place was not being invested in any maintenance or delivering the property to a high standard . It seemed more like a property that was just being run by letting agent then by somebody who put some love into providing quality accommodation to visitors. The apartment itself was tidy, but there were cigarette butts left on the large rear balcony and and soil, broken pots . The beautiful rear terrace could’ve been so much more looked after the plants needed weeding and some watering. The window shutter in the room I finally got to sleep in would not shut down to the level of the mosquito netting meaning I was bitten all night. It took me and my friend to finally drag this down to the level of the netting. It was stiff and when we pulled it down Bits of masonry came away. Temperatures were increasing and for the two bedrooms of the main room I thought I’d put on the air-conditioning. This did not work and it and it was apparent that this unit was completely out of action. Why at the amount of money we had paid?
