It was completely underwhelming for the price paid. I would not spend the money to stay there again.

We picked it for the location, and what we thought was an iconic botique experience at the Oakhurst. Since we were on a bottom floor built into a hill, it was very quiet, dark, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were nice, but there was nothing special happening at the Oakhurst in terms of service, amenities, or benefits of staying there.

It had NO mirrors --not a regular one in the bath or a long one, anywhere in the room. Only a small face mirror attached to a bookshelf in the bathroom. Yes, two bookshelves in the bathroom, but no mirror, no soap at the sink, and no lights in the room other than two reading lights on arms over the bed, so it was dark. It was down a set of tight old stairs, so if you had difficulty with mobility, you would have been in trouble. It was not at all what we expected. We thought it would be way more posh with some modern niceties, but it was bare bones, tiny, and surprisngly sparse. If you want to eat breakfast at the Oakhurst cafe, make a reservation before you go because we could not get into it.

COZY, the staff could not have been nicer and it was just so lovely

the property is so cute and cozy, it feels like you’re in a small little town away from the world but you’re actually close to everything

A very good hotel, especially if you are travelling by car so that it is easy to find.

Breakfast and lunch at nearby cafe was excellent. Staff were very helpful.

A very good hotel but not very easy to find without a car. Limited dining options in evening without a car.

Location was very convenient to UVA campus and hospital. Rooms were comfortable, clean, and spacious. Staff was exceptional. Nice bar and light bites on site.

    No refrigerator in room.
