  Misleading.

  NO KEYS WERE LEFT AT THE PROPERTY

  I would not recommend staying at Ocean Whispers Broadbeach or booking this property through Booking.com. Our accommodation was changed at the last minute due to flooding, but the replacement property was nowhere near the standard of what we had originally booked and paid for. We accepted the change because we had little choice, only to arrive and find numerous maintenance and cleanliness issues, including TVs that didn't work, a toilet that barely flushed, and an overall poor standard of accommodation. Communication from the host and co-host was extremely frustrating. We spent hours trying to contact someone just to gain access and have our concerns addressed. When we requested a refund because the replacement accommodation was not as advertised, we were met with delays, poor communication, and no accountability. The most disappointing part was Booking.com's handling of the situation. Despite acknowledging the circumstances and advising that a refund had been agreed to (less one night's accommodation), they repeatedly stated they were waiting for written confirmation from the host. Weeks of emails, phone calls, and promises of callbacks resulted in very little action. I constantly had to chase both the host and Booking.com, with neither taking ownership of resolving the issue. As a customer, you expect a booking platform to advocate for you when something goes wrong. Instead, I felt caught in the middle of a dispute between Booking.com and the property owner, despite having paid Booking.com directly. The entire experience caused unnecessary stress and significantly impacted our holiday. Better communication, transparency, and customer service could have resolved this quickly. I will be very cautious about using Booking.com again and would strongly recommend others research this property carefully before booking.

  We didnt get to stay our room was cancelled and we didnt know. Caused us a day of our holiday and bookings.com were hard to deal with Iin this process.
