Gloriously peaceful, comfortable and stylish
We really really enjoyed our short stay at Ocean Yakka and Antechamber Bay. The house had a glorious outlook, but we also enjoyed the peace and quiet. After a busy and energetic time in the west coast of the island, it was nice to arrive at the house and just take it easy. We had cold weather during our stay but the house was exceptionally cosy. And we had the wood burning stove going, really for the atmosphere. The house was exceptionally well fitted out, with the kitchen especially having everything you needed and lost more beyond. There was plenty of seating available - many places might provide just one lounge, but the hosts had three lounges, as well as the fire pit seating outside and a sheltered courtyard in case of rain. Although the house was very close to Dudley Wines, where we could have had delicious pizzas (so I'd read), we had a glorious lunch and great wine flight at False Cape wines which was only a bit further on. We also visited Cape Willoughby Lighthouse and did the Heritage trail. Wildlife did not disappoint here either. We only had two nights booked here as we had moved around the island, but Ocean Yakka is certainly well worth returning to, and staying on for a few more nights, just to relax. Although it's a 3 bedroom house (my partner and I travelled with a friend), we'd spend the extra with just the two of us, just to enjoy another stay at a very comfortable and lovely house. And well done Deb and Graham for all the work you have done to make the house off grid. And thank you for making yourselves so available for questions we had - and for the offer of early check in, which although we couldn't take up because we were still in Seal Bay, it was very much appreciated.

Absolutely fantastic holiday home! Highly recommended!
Beautiful, quiet location in nature with a stunning ocean view. The house is beautifully decorated, super well-equipped, and the fireplace makes it incredibly cozy.
