    I’ve marked this down as the fire alarm was going off for well over an hour, everyone was out in the corridor as no-one could get hold of the owner. We were tired after being out for the evening and to come back to this was a nightmare!!! No apology nothing!! The chef was inflexible, the menu was incorrect.

    I booked a room 4 months in advance at a cheap rate with a hotels.com platinum membership discount and used my onekey credit. On arrival, the owner made me "top up" the rate to 160% of the cost due to double occupancy instead of single (a genuine booking error), making my small, windowless room much less of a bargain. I have no issue paying a surcharge for double occupancy, but am upset that my onekey cash was disregarded and mainly that the owner was so deeply unpleasant about the situation. Watch out for the menu too - the one on offer doesn't match the website, there are no veggie options and the response on questioning was "that's the menu".

    FYI: Not a free Breakfast

    Had been looking forward to the free breakfast as advertised, but told this was not included in the standard rate room. Staff suggested this is a common source of confusion for other guests too. Otherwise ideal location for wedding at Camblesforth Hall. Good amount of parking and was pleasantly surprised by the interior of the bar as we walked in. Staff were friendly and showed us to the room which was nice enough, although the door needed a good barge to get in.
