    Charming ryokan with great meals!

Both the public (free) and private onsen (paid) was great, especially after long drive and hiking in Kamikochi. We stayed for 2 nights, meal half board and were treated with sumptuous dinners and breakfast. This was particularly important as there are not much restaurants nor convenience store in Hirayu Onsen area. The room was comfortable and clean. The aircon was particularly weak but it didn't matter since it got pretty cold at night. Despite the hotel is a being a little dated, the old charm is what that made it special

The bathroom smell a little musty.

    Onsen top, migliorare l’accoglienza

Everything was perfect - the onsen, the traditional meals, the room, the location close to the bus (a short ride to the kamikochi park). We also informed them beforehand that we were on our honeymoon and they upgraded our room and treated us like royalty. I highly recommend staying here!
