A home away from home!
Our room, Rosemary Cottage, was beautifully set up, quaint and tasteful. We knew this was a place of sanctity and calm the second we stepped into the cottage. We loved the decor; we loved that there was a host present and thoughtful waiting to greet us, to say nothing of the panoramic views of the Aegean from the back yard and from across the road. Other places we stayed at on our trip had absent hosts who left keys in drop boxes. Ok, I guess, but not ideal. Not so with the lovely folk at Olive Leaf. We took the mid-morning ferry from Naxos and arrived at Santorini tired and parched. Our host, Irini, all the while talked us through the crossing, through the bus journey from the port to Fira, and from Fira to her stop at Firostefani. She waited for us expectantly, and once she spotted us, hurried to help with our heavy suitcase! She knew we'd be exhausted after our journey and had personally prepared the tastiest and freshest meze platter with glasses of chilled wine in the fridge! My wife was so overcome with emotion she wrapped Irini in her arms in gratitude. Nowhere in our two weeks in Athens or the islands did we ever experience this level of kindness and hospitality. Even Martha, the lady who cleaned, was caring to us and proffered advice when we required it. There was condiments, tea, coffee and olive oil in the unit for the guests. Irini even stopped by the following morning to see how we were! Thank you wonderful people, for making our stay in Santorini so very special. Blessings to you.
I didn't like the fact that we only spent two nights at Olive Leaf. This is a place we'd return to in a heartbeat.

Location is really good. The host was very attentive.

Lugar acogedor
Muy buena ubicación, puedes llegar caminando a muchos de los lugares y si no, un paradero de buses se encuentra muy cerca. El lugar es muy acogedor y muy bien equipado.

This isn't just another white-and-blue cottage. It was something different that caught my eye when booking. I had a feeling it would be good, but the reality was far better. We felt cozy and at peace, away from the tourist crowds. I greeted the morning sun right in the yard, and the sunset was right nearby. The young woman who welcomed us was very friendly, and communication online was excellent, too.
I can only regret that we have stayed only for one night. I would like to stay in a cottage with a pool and a view of the caldera someday, but this cottage—if available—will always be my first choice.
