A fairly ordinary motel
The location was good, straight opposite the hospital and easy access to all roads in and out of Hastings. The parking was fine, the heat pump worked well and there were good curtains. There was a spare blanket for the bed which I needed. The kitchenette was small but usable although I had to turn the fridge up to get any cold from it.
The bed wasn't very comfortable - hills and hollows from years of use - and the pillows weren't marvellous. The bathroom had a large spa bath with a shower over it, and no non-slip mat provided. For me that was dangerous. I think spa baths in motels are largely outdated, and this one looked pretty old, and most people would prefer a walk-in shower with a removable head. I also think a non-slip mat is essential to provide as a health and safety matter. The person at reception didn't ask for any contact details so he would have had to go through booking.com to contact me if I'd left anything there.
