Great stay
Staff were extremely helpful. Good breakfast. Nice pool area. Good clean bedroom and comfortable bed
Some issues with power supply, but that is not really their fault. Generator usually kicks in but this makes the pool area very loud. Can't use AC or power sockets when on generator power

A lovely place, but disappointing service
A lovely place, but disappointing service Overall, the hotel is a very nice place. The host was friendly and helpful, even coming out to meet us and help us find the hotel, as the route was not very obvious. The rooms were clean, the grounds were well maintained, and the swimming pool was clean. Unfortunately, our experience was spoiled by the attitude and behaviour of one of the waitresses. On the first evening, I bought two beers at the bar and was not given 1,500 TZS in change. I let it go, assuming she simply did not have enough change. The following day, when I ordered another beer, she smiled and informed me that she could not give me 2,000 TZS in change. At that point, I started to feel that this was becoming a pattern. The most disappointing incident happened on our last morning at breakfast. We politely asked if she could boil a small handful of pasta for our child. We had brought the pasta ourselves, so all she needed to do was put it in boiling water for nine minutes. A minute later, she came back and told us we would have to pay extra for this simple request. This was completely unexpected and, frankly, ridiculous. I declined and asked for the outstanding change from our previous purchases to be returned. She only gave me 2,000 TZS. It is a real shame, because the property itself is lovely and the host made a very positive impression. However, these repeated issues with the service left us with a bitter aftertaste. Be careful when buying anything at the bar and make sure you receive the correct change. With better service, this hotel could have been a much better experience.
