Disappointing stay, with excessive heat, noise, uncomfortable beds, and poor communication, not suitable for families wi

The apartment is in a convenient location, but unfortunately, our experience had several important issues. Although it might look like a good option for a family in a different season. I would not recommend it for families with children based on our experience.

First, I specifically requested to drop off our four backpacks before check-in when I originally booked the apartment. Since we were going to the stadium earlier and would be returning late after the game, I also contacted the host two days before check-in, as I was already in Porto, to ask whether we could leave our backpacks the day before or in the morning on the day of arrival. Check-in was from 5 PM to 10 PM, with an additional €15 cash charge for check-in between 10 PM and 1 AM. I asked them to check about the backpacks and earlier check in the day before and he said, “I can text you as soon as the apartment is ready, but you won’t be before 3:30 PM for sure, so I’ll text you tomorrow and we can talk better tomorrow.” However, he never contacted me again. Despite making this request when booking and following up in advance, I received no further communication or solution. I eventually had to figure everything out myself and pay to store our luggage somewhere else. This was disappointing, especially since I had tried to arrange everything ahead of time. When we finally arrived, the apartment was extremely hot. There was no air conditioning, the fans were not turned on, and all the windows were closed. After walking outside and arriving sweaty, it felt like walking straight into a sauna. This was especially uncomfortable for my children, who struggled with the heat and had difficulty sleeping. Another issue is the noise. The flooring is very loud whenever you walk, so if someone is sleeping in the living room, simply walking to the bathroom can wake everyone up. Opening the windows at night is also difficult because of the traffic noise, and there is a bar nearby that can be quite loud on weekends. You essentially have to choose between keeping the windows closed and suffering from the heat or opening them and dealing with the outside noise. We also noticed quite a few mosquitoes inside the apartment.
