It was such a special place to stay in the lead up to our wedding. The gardens are spectacular and the building has so much character

Very comfortable, and convenient for visiting many of the McLaren Vale wineries and other attractions.
Excellent location, backing onto the walking/cycling track (Shiraz trail) that takes you into the Main Street of town. Very nice modern internal renovation of an historic cottage.

Nice location, a little unclear on what you are booking though
The location was really good, it is on the same site as the cellar door. You can go on a nice walk around the area and not too far to drive to other wineries or weekend markets in surrounding areas. There was also plenty of ubers if you don't want to drive around the area.
It was confusing when booking the place, didn't realise that there was two separate buildings so the photos we saw were for the other cottage which was a little disappointing. Nevertheless the cottage we were in was quite nice, however it was also unclear that we would not have access to the second bedroom. I was staying with a friend and we thought we had booked a two bedroom cottage, however when we arrived there was a note on the door saying we would be charged extra costs for using the second bedroom as we were only two people. I felt this was quite unfair as we booked the two bedroom cottage thinking it was going to be two bedrooms. I think this needs to be removed to be honest. Despite all this the place was really cute. The only other thing was that we thought that the cellar door would provide food as it said so online. But it turns out they closed their kitchen and are no longer providing food. They did do nice coffee though.
