  A peaceful woodland retreat with plenty of charm, a welcoming host, and a cosy character that made us want to come back

  We had a fantastic stay here and would happily come back. The house is tucked away up a private drive, surrounded by trees, so it feels like you’re staying in your own little woodland retreat. It’s incredibly peaceful. Inside, the bathrooms and kitchen are modern, while the rest of the house has a charming old-fashioned feel with its traditional furniture and character. Rather than feeling dated, it added to the cosy atmosphere and made it feel really welcoming. The host was brilliant—friendly, helpful and made everything really easy from start to finish. We loved our weekend here and are already talking about coming back next year.

  Comfortable accommodation in excellent location

  The accommodation was very comfortable and exactly as described. Richard, the owner, meet us on arrival, gave us a tour and was very helpful. The accommodation is comfortable, roomy and clean. The accommodation comprises the upper floor of a very large house including 4 bedrooms (3 doubles and (1) with 2 singles and a bunk bed), 2 bathrooms, large well equipped kitchen, sitting room and dining room. The location is excellent right in Llanberis in Snowdonia, and the views from the house are beautiful. When we next return to the area, we would happily stay there again.

  There really wasn't anything that we did not like.

  Overall, a lovely, spacious property in a beautiful and convenient location, and a great base for our family trip to Nor

  The property was a great size for our two families, with plenty of space for everyone. We loved relaxing together in the lounge, and having a separate dining room was perfect for enjoying family meals. The kitchen and bathroom were modern, clean and well equipped. One of the highlights was the beautiful view of the lake from our bedroom window. Waking up to that view was really special and added so much to our stay. The location was also fantastic. We were able to walk to many of the activities and places we had planned to visit around Llanberis, which was really convenient, especially as a family. It was also a great base for exploring North Wales, with other places and attractions we wanted to visit within a reasonable drive.

  Some areas, particularly the carpets and furniture, could benefit from a deeper clean and a little more attention to dusting. While the older furniture adds character and charm to the property, we felt that some areas could do with a little updating and refreshing. A bit of renovation and sprucing up would really enhance what is already a lovely and spacious property.
