A true "must visit" hotel.
It is rare in this world to find a hotel where everything aligns beautifully but the Palacete do Guerreiro is indeed that rare beast. First of all the location is sublime with views to die for and an immediate feeling of peace and tranquility. Then there is probably the best and biggest breakfast I've ever had included in a room rate....just fantastic! And by the way, the evening meal is very good value for money especially when you know that everything is local and organic wherever possible. Add to that the passion, drive and personality of Javier (and his team) and you have a real winner and a hotel you really need to experience for yourself. We are already thinking of excuses to take us back to the area to chat with the lovely Javier once again 😍

Heerlijk
Fantastisch gelegen en prachtig ingerichte accommodatie. Heerlijk ontbijt en diner. Ideale plek om de Serra da Estrela te verkennen en Coimbra te bezoeken, om vervolgens te genieten van het mooie zwembad en door de gastheer voorbereid diner.

Geweldig, mooie en rustige plek!
Fantastische locatie met maar 8 kamers, dus heel rustig. Licht schitterend in de bergen, heerlijk zwembad en een voortreffelijk ontbijtbuffet. De eigenaar Xavier is enorm vriendelijk en doet er alles aan om iedereen een onvergetelijke ervaring te bieden. Er is ook nog een spa waar je dagelijks op reservering gebruik van kunt maken. Dus even met zijn tweetjes genieten van de sauna, het turks stoombad en de grote yacuzzi, heerlijk!
Echt alles was goed, nog nooit zo’n superplek meegemaakt!

Beautiful place, exceptional hospitality, great food and a team that makes you feel truly looked after. The building is beautifully restored and tastefully decorated, and the views and pool create a wonderfully peaceful setting to relax and unwind. But what really makes this place special is the incredible service and the genuine warmth of the people. Javier, the owner, stood out for his friendliness, empathy and personal attention. He gave us excellent recommendations on where to go, what to do and where to eat. The restaurant at the hotel is also incredible. The food was excellent, and the cheesecake was an absolute highlight. Breakfast was another highlight of our stay. Rather than a buffet, it was beautifully served at the table every morning, with a generous selection of fresh, homemade products. The bread and croissants always arrived warm, and the homemade yogurt and cakes, all prepared at the hotel, were excellent. We were travelling with our pets, and they were genuinely welcomed too. We would happily come back!!!
