    It was okay.

    The place is quite noisy due despite the description of “quiet street view”. There’s a mosque nearby which is typical in Mombasa which I feel should have been put in the description, and a construction across the street. The bathroom is quite small and not very well designed, but functional I guess. We also had a surprise extra charge for using the AC which we were not informed when checking in. Luckily there wasn’t a mosquito problem so we left the window open at night. The host is responsive except when we stayed for about 2 hours without power in the apartment because of the misunderstanding with the AC situation. The building itself is quite old and sort of dirty outside - well you get what you pay for!
