  Exceptional Place Our family stayed at Paradise Beach House, Habaraduwa sometime mid July, 2026. Wow, what a wonderful place!! The backyard is literally the Habaraduwa beach. Clean golden sand! We had a breathtaking view of the sunset from the balcony and another day just at the beach. Phenomenal! Rooms are comfortable, good air conditioning, washrooms are clean. It has a small kitchen with utensils where you can make a breakfast or a meal without any trouble. A supermarket, grocery stores and fruit vendors are all nearby within 5-10 minute walking distance. Apartment has Wi-Fi and a washing machine. Owner's family lives in the second floor and is super helpful and accessible. The ground floor of the building houses a sea turtle hatchery. Apart from the hatchery, they treat wounded sea turtles brought by the fishermen and release them once they are ready to go back to the sea. We saw several big turtles who are currently getting treatment including a beautiful hawksbill. The Talpe (Mihiripenna) turtle beach is a Rs600 (about 2USD) ride from the house where you can wade through giant sea turtles. Galle Fort UNESCO heritage site is again Rs1200 (about 4 USD) ride or if you wish you can take the cheap (and slow) public transit where the bus stand and railway station both are within 10-15 minute walking distance. Going towards East, beautiful frescoes of Kathaluwa temple, famous stick fisherman of Ahangama and surfing area of Mirissa are not far away. During the November-April season you can go whale watching at Mirissa. Highly recommend!

  Úžasný majitel, ochotný a vždy připravený vyjít vstříc čemukoli, co potřebujete. Nádherná pláž před domem, krásné procházky do místních barů a restaurací. Z terasy je fantastický výhled na oceán.

  Flat is nice and spacious. Each room has AC and a separate bathroom. You’re super close to the beach. The apartment doesn’t have direct beach access, but you can go through the turtle hatchery downstairs to quickly reach it. So each time, you can check out the turtles

  One of the rooms faces the road and is quite noisy. The other two rooms face the beach. However, be aware that the waves are quite strong, and you’ll hear them at night. If you’re a light sleeper, be prepared. The beach isn’t very swim-friendly. The waves are quite powerful and can pull you further into the ocean, so be careful. These are just minor nitpicks—we were very happy with the overall accommodation. It was one of the best we had during our month on the island.
