    First impression the old damp musty smell however stay was excellent in other respects

    Communication with host was excellent, location 200m from quiet beach and resort facilities, great balcony

    Very musty old smell particularly in one bedroom took away from what would have been an excellent stay. Despite effort to mitigate this it did remain

    Pleasant outlook but various problems with apartment. Very dirty ocean water on beaches.

    Pleasant outlook but various problems with apartment.

    Main bed uncomfortable, saggy mattress. Toilet cistern ran through and was noisy at night until fixed mid week. No dishwasher despite claiming kitchenette being fully equipped. No sharp small knife to cut fruit, etc despite requesting one on second day. Iron leaks badly with fill point lid missing. No oven despite manager advising "all cooking facilities".

    Great weekend getaway

    Pool facilities really nice. Room has a really good outlook and location in the resort - convenient for pool, beach and bbq. Nice outside patio area and nice furnishings. Easy check in and out.

    Bathrooms a little dated. Could be closer to town, but still very walkable.

    Overall, we enjoyed our stay and there were several things we really liked about the property. The location is excellent, with easy access to the beach and close to everything we needed in Port Douglas. The pool area was lovely and well maintained, and the living area was spacious and comfortable for our family.

    The main downside was that the bedrooms had a strong humid, musty smell, which was noticeable throughout our stay. It would also be helpful if more rubbish bags were provided, as only one bag was supplied for the entire stay.
