Beautiful stay lovely surroundings
Had a lovely couple of nights away for the hubby’s birthday the lodge was spacious & cosy but not as clean as expected. The beds have a lovely thick mattress topper which were comfy but unfortunately no mattress protectors on them for hygiene. Loved the hot tub to chill and relax .
As we arrived the lodge didn’t smell fresh at all, there was greasy dust on the lights over the breakfast bar which looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in along time. The sofas smelt and under the cushions were not cleaned there’s was crisps amongst other things . The carpet could do with a vax freshen up . Also dirt behind bathroom door. There was no plastic glasses to take outside. The WiFi was hit and miss was off more than on , although the hot tub was lovely it seems to have collapsed on one corner causing the water to flood the decking , when getting up on the morning the temperature kept dropping so had to wait for it to heat up . Also the fridge wasn’t doing its job it wasn’t very cold , I have reported these faults . Would be nice to have a few extra touches like a pint of milk in fridge etc .

Not a 5 star and staff very rude
It was very clean and the lodge was spacious and had everything we needed.
It advertised EV chargers and everyone of them was out of order The staff drove round in their buggies so so fast it was dangerous for dogs and young children. The staff a lady in particular who drove a white van was very rude and the others were ok. No shop on site to even get a pint of milk. Absolutely not a five star but the stay was pleasant. Very noisy on Friday and Saturday nights with groups of girls and lads and its supposed to be a quiet site.

The lodge was lovely inside just a few minor moans … the outside was awful
Great layout spacious, brilliant kitchen and living room layout . Loads off work top and eating space . Bedroom s large and very comfortable.
Hot tub was old and not very good , struggled to get the buttons to work . You sat in it and the whole thing was tilted on an angle .. wasn’t very clean and one night it would nt heat up properly so we didn’t bother with it . The Patio was dirty and the furniture was scruffy obviously WELL used , it was dirty with cushions missing. The outside was such a disappointment I went for this lodge because the reviews were good .. we only went in the hot tub once which was the bit we were most looking forward too . When we arrived the dishwasher was full and needed emptying… they were clean though. The grill and the sugar and tea caddy had been used and not washed .. In the main bedroom the net was all ripped and looked tatty ..
