The hotel is situated high on a mountain next to a lake. You reach it by following a paved forest track, and after passing a small hill, you turn left at a bend, and the lake appears with the hotel on your left. The first day I arrived, I was quite impressed by the beauty of the place. The entire hotel is clad in wood, with all the windows and balconies adorned with flowerpots, and the surrounding garden is very well maintained. The lake next to the hotel created a picture-postcard scene. In fact, I took several photos of the surrounding area during my stay, including the mountains with their fir and pine forests. My stay at the hotel was quite pleasant. Although the hotel owners are German, there was a young man and woman in the kitchen who spoke Argentinian Spanish, and I was able to communicate with them quite well in Spanish, as my English is very inconsistent. I managed to communicate with the hotel owners in my own way, using my less-than-perfect English. I really liked the dining room, all wood-paneled, with wooden tables and chairs and a carpeted floor. The breakfast was very good. The overall decor, as I mentioned, was very nice. If it weren't for the hotel's distance from Spain, I would definitely return again and again because I loved the hotel's location. The drive up a winding mountain pass from the valley floor to the top is well worth it when you see the beauty of the place. Although the menu items seemed a bit pricey, given that it's Switzerland, you can't expect too much. However, from what I had for dinner, the food was very good, and the hotel owners, as I said before, were very friendly. I had a room with a balcony, overlooking the mountains behind it and the village below. I could see the snow-capped mountains to my left. In short, beautiful views, and the room was very well-equipped.

There are only two things I wanted to mention that I didn't particularly like during my stay. One was about the cleaning lady. One day she came into my room to clean it just as I was having breakfast, because I got up an hour later that day and went to bed later as well. As I said, between 9:00 and 9:30 in the morning, the cleaning lady came into my room to make my bed and clean the bathroom, even though I had things from my suitcase on the other bed (it was a double room). Nothing happened, though, because nobody touched anything. Even so, I think the room cleaning schedule should be respected. If, for example, cleaning starts at 11:00 in the morning, then nobody should go in to clean before 11:00. The other thing I wanted to mention, which I didn't find very logical, is that on the other days I was lucky enough to park my car in a small parking lot closer to the hotel where the cars are parked in a row, and there's room for four or five cars. It just so happened that on the last day of my stay, when I arrived at the hotel late before dinner, that space was full, so I left the car in a much larger parking lot where there was a chain with a carabiner. I removed the carabiner and chain myself and parked my car there, thinking that parking lot was exclusively for hotel guests, and since I considered myself just another hotel guest, even though my room was in the guesthouse section. The hotel has rooms in the larger, main building, and other separate rooms right next to it that belong to the guesthouse, but which are equally, or rather, very good, because the one I had was very well equipped. So, when I left my car there and asked the hotel owners if they put the padlock on the chain and carabiner at night, it seems that for some reason someone didn't like me leaving my car there. The owner escorted me in his van to another, smaller parking area a few meters further away, off the paved forest track that leads to the hotel from the main road.
