Beautiful location and some lovely staff, but overall a disappointing experience due to poor organization, communication
-The location is beautiful, with lovely scenery in the surrounding area -The room was clean. -The bed was comfortable. - the room was spacious - Despite there being no air conditioning and the weather being hot, the temperature in the room was actually fine. -The waiters were generally very nice: friendly, helpful and good-humoured.
-The shower holder was broken. There was no proper place to put shampoo and other shower products.There were exposed nails on the balcony. -The soundproofing was extremely poor. You could hear conversations from neighbouring rooms. -One day, I entered my room and found a man inside my bathroom, working on the light fixture. I was staying alone and nobody had informed me beforehand that someone would enter my room. What made the situation considerably worse was that, after leaving, he left the spare key in my room door.That meant that practically anyone could have entered my room. I took the key myself and returned it to reception. For me, this was a serious issue regarding privacy and security. - There was a wedding at the property on Friday. I suddenly found the yard full of wedding guests and music blasting and weren’t even sure whether we were still allowed to use the terrace or order food. - Breakfast cost 55 lei/person, which I considered expensive for what was offered. More importantly, the breakfast was advertised as starting at 8:00, but on both mornings when I purchased it, the terrace/buffet was not actually ready at 8. - A 1L bottle of water cost 18 lei. Considering that there isn’t a grocery store nearby and guests without a car are quite dependent on what they can buy at the property, I found this price excessive. - The food is inconsistent. Pork ribs: very good one day, extremely fatty and tasteless another day. Baked potatoes/ french fries: good one day, undercooked another. - Horse riding: This was particularly disappointing because horse riding was the main reason I chose the property. -For one of my bookings, I arrived at the scheduled time and there was nobody at the stables. I waited for approximately 30 minutes, only to find out that the person I was supposed to ride with had already left. On another day, my booking was simply forgotten again.
