    A loft bedroom in a classic Venetian house.

    The property manager uses minimal management and resources to rent out a distinctive house at a high price. Upon arrival, a butler greets you, but an extra €35 is charged for check-in after 7 PM. However, the butler only verifies your passport and identity, offering no other services or explanations. Unfamiliar with Italian water heaters, we spent over half an hour troubleshooting the water heater on our first use. Although the butler usually replies within one or two hours via WhatsApp, the explanations are incomplete and the service is inadequate. They simply charged the overtime fee and city tax and called it a day. Afterwards, they could only apologize for any problems, but our rent was not reduced. We two stayed for four nights from September 11th to 15th, 2026, costing approximately US$1250 . It's safe to say that the quality of B&Bs in Italy varies greatly; careful comparison is essential when choosing one. The most peculiar thing is that it's a two-story building. To get from the lower floor to the loft, you have to climb stairs made of wooden crates, which are not only very unstable but also lack handrails, making it extremely dangerous and slippery. There's also a smooth stone staircase leading from the ground floor to the fourth floor, which caused us to slip and fall. The building has no elevator, so we had to carry our large luggage up and down ourselves, which was very strenuous. The house is old but appears clean. It contains various handicrafts brought back by the owner from their travels, and a lot of fabric furnishings such as tablecloths, carpets, two large fabric sofas, and bedroom blankets. It's unclear whether the house is cleaned after each rental. These items could easily trigger allergies and a feeling of uncleanliness. The house is poorly maintained; the wooden doors, oven, curtains, and washing machine are all damaged and unrepaired.
