    very relaxing

    This is a beautifully preserved family home, modernised with air con and a well-equipped kitchen, but retaining some special family mementoes. The garden provided shade or sun all day, and the hostess came to visit (plus her brother lives nearby). It was safe enough for her to leave the keys in the door for us, and she had left food and drink for us. In the dark it took a while to find but its only a short drive from the main road to Chania and the coast. It is a lovely place to stay.

    It was all good. A note for less confident drivers - the entry from the road is a sharp turn (but there is plenty of parking space.) The village taverna was great although the walk back is uphill!
