clean, charming in very quiet and insanely beautiful part of Crete.

Fantastic room in a very quiet village with wonderful views walking around the village. If you want charm and quiet and out of the way from tourists in a mountain village, this is the place. The room is very clean. No carpets. Water pressure worked well. One note: finding this place in the dark is not trivial. We used google maps and it directs you to stop on a one car wide dirt road at the top of an outdoor set of stairs an on your left is a large retaining wall and on your right the top of the stairway and a flat-topped white squat building that is NOT this place. What you need to do is continue driving forward about 1 min and you will hit a large open square where you can turn around and go all the way back to the "metal gate" that you drove through to get to into the village. This time, IGNORE the GPS and at the 1st fork you get to, take the RIGHT AND NOT THE LEFT. The right fork takes you to a stone paved square (as far as you can go), then park and walk up the stairs all the way to the top then continue on the alley way another 1 min and you get to the house. It is actually VERY EASY. In daylight, you will realize that if you continue walking up the stairs the entire way, you get to top of the stairs the GPS told you to go. Anyway, rest assured if all of the above seems confusing to you: don't worry! The owners responded to the phone call at 9 pm and guided us to the house with no issues. They are very nice and super helpful. We will certainly be back if we can get to Crete again.

the "double bed" is 2 singles pushed together so if you really care about not having a "crack" to fall into in the middle of the bed, this would be a problem for you.

True village feel stay in a beautiful old stone house

The location in a small village was fabulous and Stella and George were wonderful hosts. The local family taverna in the village was one of our favorite dinners of the trip.

    Klein paradijsje
