    Excellent

    Lovely cottage in a superb location. Flapjacks and tea on arrival were a nice touch and much appreciated. Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen was there. Beautiful gardens. Very comfy beds. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

    Not ideal only having a bath with a family of 5. A shower would have made it a perfect stay for everyone.

    It’s a great quaint cottage in a beautiful quiet location. You definitely need a car to run about in as we expected. Mos

    Friendly and welcoming hosts. Access to laundry facilities and beautiful outside garden to explore. The homemade flapjacks were a tasty touch! 😋 Out in the countryside which we expected yet still reasonably central for traveling by car to local tourist areas. (Places we went included: Flamingoland, Scarborough, Whitby, outdoor Waterpark, York.)

    Bed was on the firm side for us but that’s personal taste. (Would benefit from a mattress topper.) Lovely thick duvets too hot for summer. (To be fair it was a particularly hot week!) No shower (bit tricky using the shower head provided attached to taps - appreciate it is an old cottage and putting a shower in maybe isn’t an option but would benefit from a shower curtain and could make do with the attachment.)

    Surrounding places to visit while on holiday not far from property.
