    Spiders everywhere

    The apartment looked like the photos and, overall, it was fine for one night. There were some maintenance issues, such as the swollen/damaged flooring, a broken area in the shower floor and no sink in the bathroom, but these would not have been a major problem for us. However, there was one very serious issue that was impossible to know from the Booking listing: the apartment was infested with spiders. On our last night, I spent more than 30 minutes killing around 25 spiders, several of them very large (over 5 cm), while my partner, who has a spider phobia, was extremely distressed. At first, I tried to understand that some spiders might come in from the garden. But it quickly became obvious that this was a cleanliness and maintenance problem. There were cobwebs everywhere: on an umbrella, around the furniture, and especially behind the bed, which was honestly shocking and looked like it had not been properly cleaned for a long time. What disappointed us even more was the response when we informed the property. There was no apology or real concern, only that they would “take it into account”. Unfortunately, because I killed all the spiders that night, the hosts may not fully realise how bad the situation actually was. This was unacceptable.

    Posto strategico nel quartiere caratteristico di Sarajevo. Senza pretese ma con tutto il necessario per il riposo dopo le lunghe passeggiate nei dintorni. Ho avuto tutto il necessario ai prezzi incredibilmente convenienti. Ah sì! Ricordate di accendere il scaldabagno se volete fare la doccia calda :) :) :)
