Very cool cave hotel experience!

Wonderful large cave stay in a lovely location!
We chose this location specifically and it was excellent. We were able to access the cave suite easily as it was on the main road so easy to roll in and out. You could use stairs or use the road. We loved the courtyard and we sat out everyday and had a drink or just hung out. We had a large suite with 2 washrooms. We loved the large shower and design of this cave. It was wonderful. Breakfast is continental and the juices were excellent and tea selection but they did not have coffee provided. Pastries were packaged. Lots of selections of coffee shops and restaurants in the Sassi and outside were close by. The host gave us directions for free parking close by and it was fantastic! We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again!!

Pietragialla was a wonderful place to stay in magical Matera!
When we booked this property, it looked nice on line. When we arrived we were surprised at HOW nice it was! It was wonderful! So unique and truly a beautiful place. Giacomo was truly a wonderful host! The bathroom shower was unbelievably huge inside the cave! Everything was very nice and modern. I would totally stay here again and would HIGHLY recommend. I think this might be the best lodging of our trip! Thank you Giacomo!

Great location and view. We saw the units door on Bond movie chase scene (no time to die)
location and terrace. close to where we wanted to be. beautiful view with very large entertaining space.
space was sparse but functional. very basic breakfast and morning drinks. Given not a hotel with breakfast it would be nice to have a coffee machine with pods and larger refrigerator for self provided items
