Overall, it was a gorgeous and well equipped place and the owner was very responsive to any question
The location was stunning and quiet, but slightly challenging to drive to at night, up the hill on an gravel road, but the map coordinates from the host were really helpful, and the entrance to the property was well marked. It was about a 20 minute drive into the town of Port Hawkesbury that had food stores, restaurants, etc.
The only issue was that the cabin had a fair amount of fragrance in it, probably from laundry or soap products, (not sure) so if someone is very sensitive to scents that it could be an issue.

Memories to last a lifetime. Rural Cape Breton. At its finest.
This is an amazing property overlooking the lake. The amenities reflected an up scale boutique hotel but in a rural setting.
If you are not prepared for a bit of a gravel road and driveway, this may be surprise. Thankfully at the last minute we opted to take the car and leave the motorcycle.

Great place to relax in Cape Breton
Exceptional cottage... way more than expected. Cottage was equipped with everything you could need for our weekend away. The whole place was spotless when we arrived. The bed was more comfortable than our own bed at home. Accent lighting inside and outside are a nice touch. And the hot tub was a great place to relax in the evenings. Cottage was far enough away from the main drag yet a quick commute to town for anything you may forget. Scenery overlooking Bras D'or Lake is breathtaking... something to be seen. Overall wonderful place to stay. Highly recommend.
We didn't like having to leave to go home. Awesome stay!
