  Great stay!

  Spaciousness, the size of the lagoons, reasonably quiet as a result

  There was some confusion at check in. We had booked a stay which included buffet breakfast. We were told that we would not be able to have this on check in as the breakfast restaurant was closed due to an emergency. Turns out, they closed it to renovate. We were given the opportunity to have breakfast another restaurant - Route 66. We were also told that one of the lagoons was going to be closed for a couple of days which was fine because the lagoons were huge and there were plenty more spaces to swim. We were offered a substantial amount of ‘room credit’ as a result. What we weren’t told was that the room credit was to pay for some of the cost for breakfast (it would not have covered our entire stay). While this was fine, it was not communicated to us and we got quite a shock when we presented at reception a couple of days in to find we had well and truly gone over our credit amount. Despite this, we still had a great time. The staff were so friendly. Every single staff member would greet you as they walked past. This certainly wasn’t the experience at a resort close by where we experienced a ‘day trip’. Thanks for a wonderful stay Plantation Bay!

  A wider selection of breakfast options would enhance the overall dining experience.

  More beachside bars with live music would create a livelier and more relaxing atmosphere. Doesn’t have to be loud.

  it was a great stay as expected

  exceptional service from the moment we arrived at the reception to check in - friendly staff and always ready to help the room was superb, spacious, comfy bed and pillows , good view from balcony, food was great in all the restaurants, very attentive staff and friendly mangoes was excellent

  too bad, buffet breakfast was not available on all days of our stay, but room service was still good- more shuttle service sched to major mall / city drop off

  The view from our room, it was beautiful and relaxing. The Spa was superb,,brilliant service from the Spa,, and most staff are nice and friendly.

  Some of the staff are not welcoming or polite. The food so expensive for what it is, most of them are okay, considering a five star. Nothing much around especially at night, its kinda boring for us as no entertainment. The moment goes dark, everywhere just shut except one or two restaurant.. Another thing that i didnt like, they charged us for my sons breakfast , on the second day, as they cancelled the breakfast buffet due to renovation, they gave us breakfast credit but only for adults, and exclude my son, which we booked and paid for 2 adults and 1 child breakfast included, We have to debate to the manager and told him that we are not paying anymore as we already paid that moment it put us off as it was poor service considering a five star. The following day , asked the reception to checked our bills, still shocked as they still charged us for my son's breakfast, i cant believed , so i have to debate for the second time around explaining to the reception about my booking 2 adults and 1 child breakfast included.,and not to charged me again for my son's breakfast ,thankfully the receptionist was amazing and helpful, she eventually undestood and not charge me for my child breakfast but what a thing for a five star. It shouldnt happen , it should be a relaxing and comfortable holiday , they should checked their bookings properly.. As a guests we pay a lot of money so we expect a high standards of service. But overall experienced , we still had a great time as the resort was lovely and we had a beautiful room and view even though some of the service was slow and poor.
