  A peaceful island escape with beautiful surroundings, great food and lovely staff – simple, relaxing and far away from m

  Getting to Polaris is an adventure in itself. From Sandingan we took a private boat arranged by the resort (1,000 PHP, around 30 minutes). Because of the waves, we had to get off about 500 m from the resort and carry our five suitcases over sand and rocks. Exhausting! 😅 But the wonderful welcome with cold drinks, chilled towels and a personalized sign immediately changed our mood. The resort is beautiful, peaceful and intimate, with a lovely tropical garden, large swimming pool, oceanfront bar and open-air restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly and the food was excellent – generous portions at very reasonable prices. We originally booked two tree houses, but eventually upgraded to two rooms by the pool, and that was definitely the right decision. Four nights felt perfect. We enjoyed the pool, the stars at night, snorkeling with lots of starfish and cycling around the island. The island itself feels very authentic and far away from mass tourism. If you want to disconnect, slow down and enjoy peace and nature, Polaris is a wonderful place. We left rested, happy and with beautiful memories.

  The original tree houses were very hot, and the stairs were extremely steep, so they were not comfortable for us. The poolside rooms were much better, although they were more expensive and air conditioning costs extra. The biggest negative surprise came at departure. The resort arranged a car from Sandingan to Panglao for 3,500 PHP, later reduced to 3,000 PHP after we questioned the price. This still felt expensive considering we had paid only 5,000 PHP for the much longer, approximately three-hour journey from Anda to Sandingan. I would therefore recommend agreeing on transportation prices in advance. Also, this island is not for everyone. If you expect nightlife, shopping, smooth roads or lots of activities, you may find it too quiet and isolated.

  Le meilleur pour un séjour de grande qualité : on se sent bien,. Accueil extrêmement professionnel !

  Au meilleur niveau sur tous les plans : emplacement, accueil, équipement, confort, organisation, propreté, hébergement, restauration, bar, plongée. Tout est mis en oeuvre pour offrir le meilleur séjour dans une ambiance bienveillante et attentive. Les 5 jours passés sur place ont vraiment été un plaisir. La qualité de l'équipe est à souligner : professionnelle et adorable !

  Paradise !!!

  Most amazing place. Felt like paradise and it was hard to leave. The place itself was mind blowing, but the staff was even more so. Everybody was extremely nice, helfpful and just made my stay unforgettable. Big thanks to the divers, cleaners, managers and everybody that was around. Can‘t wait to be back :)

  Genial, lo recomendaría al 100%

  Lo que más nos gustó fue el Staff!!! Todo el equipo ha sido súper atento y amable, te hacen sentir bienvenido desde el primer momento y siempre estan pendientes de que estés bien. La comida estaba muy buena (con opciones vegetarianas) y el sitio es una preciosidad! Ya tenemos ganas de volver :)
